It’s time to start the blog again. I was very disappoint and frustrated with SPLINDER as they kept changing their setup and adding more and more advertising, anyhow it’s time to move on.
I would like to thank my wonderful sister-in-law, Natasha; she saved my original blog and moved it to its new home. She has been the one encouraging me to continue with my story.
I believe I left off on Canol Trail in the Northwest Territories; all I have to do is figure out how to add the photos.
Since then I have made three trips to New Mexico, I have now made a left turn in Albuquerque!
We were working on a former uranium mine near to Gallup; a town about 2 1/2 hour drive west of Albuquerque. The town is on the continental divide and reminds me of the town “Radiator Springs” in the movie “Cars”.

I have had several very busy projects in Toronto that have involved quick turn-a-round time and complicated drilling conditions. These sites are now schools and have been for the last 40-50 years, but prior to that they were major industrial sites. On the last site I was working on we ended up drilling a 6” water line fire loop that the utility locate company missed. I then spent the rest of the week repairing it.
Then off to Windsor for a week, home for the weekend, off to Kitchener for a week, home for the weekend and hopefully for the week before heading north again. This time I will be gone for up to 7 weeks.
We start with Contwoyto Lake in Nunavut, then move on to Copper Pass on Great Slave Lake and finally on to …..Wait for it…..Canol Trail again!
I will try to keep the posts up to date, but who knows, with the long work days I may end up posting all at the end.
